Just a picture from outside my house during early spring.  The scientific name for the purple plum tree is Prunus Cerasifera. It is mainly used as an ornamental, landscaping tree.  http://www.gardeningcentral.org/purple_plum_tree/purple_plum_tree.html Enjoy! ~Salvatore
